The vaccine is safe and effective. Possible undesirable effects after vaccination are rare and usually mild..

In some cases, mild and brief pain, redness and/or swelling may occur at the site of injection. To ease the pain, apply ice or alcohol to the aching site.

Rarely, one or a combination of other undesirable effects may occur  such as tiredness, fatigue, moderate fever, headache, aching muscles, swollen lymph nodes, rash, and, very rarely, stiff neck, mostlyafter 4 to 7 days after vaccination. These effects usually pass in one or two days, rarely last up to one week. You may take medication against pain and fever.
